Mallory Winters grew up in a small rural community in Wyoming called Otto. He was born a farmer's son and has always been accustomed to hard work and long hours. He currently is a Journeyman Lineman Foreman for Lower Valley Energy, in Afton, WY. This is where his love for photography started. He spent a lot of "on call" downtime on weekends in Jackson Hole, WY, where the landscapes and awe inspiring views were spectacular.
In order to fill his lonely down time away from his family, he adopted the hobby of panoramic photography. Over the years he has worked tirelessly to perfect his photography skills. Mallory is a self-taught photographer, having no formal training. He has spent many hours studying photography from camera manuals to text books to online photography training courses. Mallory's limited edition pieces that are sold in his gallery in Afton, WY are custom built and designed by Mal as well. Therefore, his art pieces have become his passion and creative outlet. He is also an avid reader which has also assisted in the development of his skills. He truly enjoys learning new skills and bettering himself.
Along with his certification as a Journeyman Lineman he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Wyoming. He also is a Intermediate Volunteer EMT with the Thayne Ambulance Service in Thayne, WY, and has served his community for over 23 years.
Mallory has been married for 35 years and shares the business workload with his sweetheart Alesia. Alesia manages Mal's photography business and gallery in Afton, WY. They started this business together over four years ago and are enjoying their camera time and their empty nest. Their hobbies include traveling together, gardening and grand children. They are looking forward to seeing their 4 married children raise their families and their 10 grandchildren grow up close to home.
